FAQ
Can I renew a loan?
You can renew most loans through myLibrary or the Uni-Verse app at any time before their due date.
Most items can be renewed if your Library account and the terms of the borrowed item meet the relevant conditions.
Renewal examples:
- Standard 4 week (28 day) loans can renew for up to 16 weeks, unless recalled.
- For UNSW staff members and postgraduate students, standard 6 month loans can renew for up to 24 months, unless recalled.
- Short Loan (7 day) items can renew for up to 14 days.
- Renewal conditions vary if your item is not from UNSW. For more information see interlibrary loans.
Contact the Library if you have lost a library book, cannot return your loans on time or you are not sure why an item is on your account.
We encourage all clients to check your myLibrary account or Uni-Verse app on a regular basis. Ensure that you are aware of any changes to your due dates.
Return items in person or by post (allow time for delivery) before they are due. For more information see Borrowing - Return.
Failure to return items by the due date may result in fines and suspension of borrowing privileges.
