Where are Library silent and quiet study areas?

The Main Library has multiple areas for silent and quiet study on Levels 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Silent areas - Levels 6 & 7:

  • Individual study
  • No talking or group work
  • Phones on silent or turned off

Dedicated neutral sensory study spaces - Levels 3 & 6:

  • Individual study
  • No talking or group work
  • Phones on silent or turned off

Quiet areas - Levels 5 & 8:

  • Quiet conversations
  • Phones on silent
  • Study pods on Level 8
  • Level 5 is not available while events are in progress

Remember that the Library is for everyone. If you find yourself in a silent or quiet area, keep your noise to a minimum.

All Library members and visitors should respect other Library clients and not participate in behaviour or conduct likely to interfere with others. If you are being disturbed by noise in the Library, feel free to respectfully let someone know they are disturbing you. Alternatively, contact us as soon as possible.
