My thesis contains third-party copyright material. What do I need to do to ensure I can still deposit it in UNSWorks?
You must have permission from the copyright holder to reproduce any third-party copyright material included in your thesis.
In some cases, the re-use licence used by the copyright holder will already allow you to reproduce their material. If this is not the case, you must request permission from the copyright holder prior to submitting your thesis. It is a good idea to begin this process as early as possible.
If you are unable to secure permission to reproduce third-party copyright material in the publicly available copy of your thesis, it is possible to redact certain materials from the publicly available copy while still including them in the master copy submitted to the Library.
